Our Vision
Southside FC is committed to pushing our players to the next level.
Our goal is to increase the number of academy trials for our players and raise our success rate in academy placements. In line with this, we’re actively building relationships with Premier League and EFL clubs across the region, creating more pathways for our talented players to reach professional levels. By focusing on skill development and providing opportunities to shine, we aim to help as many players as possible achieve their football aspirations.
Our Methodology
At Southside FC, our training philosophy is entirely player-focused.
We believe in developing highly skilled, versatile players by giving them time on the ball. Our sessions emphasize ball mastery, touches, and engaging in small-sided duels like 1v1 and 2v2 to build confidence and technical ability. We aim to develop players who can perform anywhere on the pitch, which is why we rotate young players through various positions. This approach broadens their understanding of the game and prepares them to adapt in any situation, fostering well-rounded footballers both technically and tactically.
SFC Player Pathway
The Southside FC player pathway is a structured program designed to develop football talent starting from the age of 12. We focus on both technical skill development and psychosocial growth to prepare players for competitive environments and potential progression into professional football clubs.
That said, our mission extends beyond football. We prioritize developing the individual, emphasizing professionalism, high standards of conduct, and a strong educational foundation. At Southside FC, we aim to ensure that all players have opportunities to pursue careers within football as players, coaches, scouts, or analysts. For those who seek careers beyond the sport, we support them by fostering an environment that encourages a growth mindset, helping them excel in any path they choose.
